Wyomissing Finance & Administration Updates

Wyomissing Borough Hall
The Wyomissing Finance & Administration Committee met on Thursday, November 7th. Discussion included:
proposed 2025 budget is deficit of $726,000
budget approved to present to borough council for advertisement
post-employment medical benefits disclosure for retired police officers - number of eligible retired officers has increased
pension funding approval
planning regarding decreased interest rates re: borough financial accounts
approving payment applications
review of October 2024 financial results

Wyomissing Zoning Hearings
1404 Cleveland Ave
A hearing was held Monday, November 4th at 2pm to consider a variance to zoning code that would allow the property owners of 1404 Cleveland Ave. to build a gazebo/pavilion in the yard. The structure would not meet the setback requirements established in the Wyomissing Zoning Ordinance.
The zoning request was approved, conditioned on plans to mitigate water drainage onto adjoining properties.

Berkshire Mall: Immaculate Claw & Games
A hearing was held Monday, November 4th at 3pm to consider a special exception to the Wyomissing Zoning Ordinance that would allow Immaculate Claw & Games LLC to operate electronic and/or mechanical coin-operated devices as an arcade in the Berkshire Mall.
The arcade will not include games of skill, the regulation of which is currently under debate in Pennsylvania.
The special exception was granted.
