Details: West Reading Borough Council meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at Borough Hall as well as the fourth Tuesday on an as needed basis. Council meets to review the minutes and recommendations of the several boards, committees and commissions. Council addresses matters brought to its attention by the Borough Manager, as well as matters brought to its attention by the Mayor or members of Council for discussion and/or action. Details: Put on your comfortable clothes and sneakers, and come out to our weekly Qigong practice.

Weather permitting, we’ll practice in the patio. In case of inclement weather, we’ll be inside in the spacious community room.

Jay Umble will be our guide in this ancient Asian practice that teaches breathing, mindfulness and movement. There is a $5 class fee.

Details: Join Artist Sarah Miller to explore the beauty of snowscapes! Sarah will lead you through a series of exercises using a variety of materials, including pencil, acrylic paint and oil pastels to explore the winter landscape. Absolutely no experience necessary.

Details: Sensory Friendly Library Time is for encouraging engagement with others and finding a sense of belonging.

Please be mindful of others. Encourage inside voices, walking feet, and having fun!

Details: Children will enjoy books, songs, rhymes, and movement activities while building social, language, and literacy skills.

All storytimes are followed by a craft to help develop fine motor skills, as well as to reinforce the story themes.

When: Thursday February 26th, 4:30 - 5:30pm

Details: For ages 7-12 years old.

Learn about famous artists and the art techniques they used. Then create your own masterpiece.

The Artist in You will be led by Sara Miller, who grew up in Wyomissing and has spent countless hours at the Wyomissing Library throughout her life. In addition to reading, she has always loved making things! She studied studio art and art history at Dickinson College, and ultimately became an art teacher. Before having her own children, she taught visual art classes to elementary and middle school students in New York and Pennsylvania. She has always made creating a priority in her own life and is thrilled to share her love of art with the community in this way.

Details: Mother Goose on the Loose (MGOL) incorporates nursery rhymes, music, and movement to aid in developing social, language & literacy skills, and strengthening bonds between caregiver and child.

It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis.

MGOL typically lasts 15-20 minutes and is followed by creative play with puppets, books, and blocks.

For children ages birth to 3 years old. No registration is required.
